LOVE OR ESPIONAGE.

A FRENCH MYSTERY. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, May 11. A young man, whose name was believed to be Hunscheidt, was discovered shot outside the Toulon arsenal. He had previously been living in a mysterious manner at Kensington, whence he fled after a strange German had ransacked his rooms and letters. The mystery is increased by the real Hunscheidt reappearing from the States. The dead man was named Pitter. He stole Hunscheidt's passport after engaging him as an interpreter. The police are doubtful whether it is a case of espionage or a love mystery.
