At Tattersajl's meeting on Saturday the Winter Stakes, of a mile and a quarter, resulted:—Willow I, Green 2, Wooloff 3. Won easily by three lengths, Fifteen started. Time, 2min. Usee. At the South Australian Jockey Club's meeting on Saturday the Goodwood Handicap, of six furlongs, was won by Widgiewa, from Rosai, lowit and twenty- j four others. The race was run in lmin. 14sec., constituting a record for the race. At the South Australian Racing Club's meeting on Saturday the Elder Stakes, of a mile and a distance, resulted: Audacity 1, Mountain Princess 2, Jolly Beggar 3. Eight horses started, and Audacity won by a length and a quarter, in lmin. 54sec. After the race there was a hostile demonstration against R-. Lewis, who rode the winner, Audacity, and also rode him earlier in the afternoon in the Goodwood Handicap, in which he ran nowhere. The flatites on the Derby stand swarmed in and attempted to mob Lewis. The police and attendants surrounded Lewis, who escaped to the dressing room amidst a shower of abusive'epithets. A London cablegram states that the Jubilee Park Stakes at Kempton Park was won by Absolute, Nallatannable being second, and Cigar third. .
