Lord Hugh Ceeil gave notice that while agreeable to the indemnity, it exaggerated the penalties. Sir Stuart Samuel should pay a moderate penalty. A NATIONAL QUESTION. London, May 9. Mr. Lloyd George, in the House of Commons, appealed to the Opposition to treat the land question as a national, not a partisan, one. He hoped they would co-operate with the Government.
