HOCKEY.

It was stated at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Hockey Association that, according to returns from the associations affiliated to the Association, the number of hockey players in the Dominion is 5008. This number does not include all the lady players, as some of the ladies' clubs are not directly affiliated to the Association, and does not include all the players in the Auckland district.
