The Scott Mansion House Committee have allocated £12,403 to supplementing the Government's provision for, relatives, £1848: to discharging the liabilities of the expedition, £Oll2 to a memorial, and the allocation of £35,075 has been undecided.

Sir E. Sprayer stated" Chat Commander Evans estimated the Australian contributions at the least at £9OOO, and there had still to come also the proceeds from the cinematograph pictures and the sale of the Terra Nova, against which they had the cost of publishing the scientific results. The committee had nothing to do with the diaries, the profit* of which belonged to the families of the authors.
