HOCKEY.

-THE TARANAKI ASSOCIATION'S PECULIAR POSITION. 1 ' ' * . ■ •• j The annual jneeting of the Taranaki Hockey Association was convened for last night at New Plymouth, but lapsed for the want of a quorum. Only three club 3 (InglewQod, Hawera and Kaponga) are now affiliated with the Association, and eadi was represented by a delegate. The rules, however, stipulate that five members shall comprise a quorum, and although in reality there was a full attendance of delegates the meeting could not be held. This places the Association in a peculiar position, which it is hoped to overcome by inducing the Sat■Urd(ftx,.e^B;ag{| K ljJj|g..New Plymouth Club to' affiliate. ' i •
