MUNICIPAL POLLS.
FURTHER RESULTS. HAWERA. Per Press Association. Voting on the half-holiday resulted in Wednesday being retained. FEILDIXG. In the Mayoral election Mr. A. M. Ongley defeated Mr. E. Goodbeherc, the sitting Mayor, by five votes. It was the heaviest poll on record. Mr. Ongley is most prominent in athletics. He is captain of both cricket and , football clubs and champion tennis player. In the poll on the half-holiday Wednesday was carried.
PAHIATUA. In the Mayoral contest David Crewe, the sitting Mayor, polled 280 votes, J. D. Wilson, an ex-Mayor, 270. WELLINGTON HOSPITAL BOARD. ' "Wellington, May 1. The final results of the poll for the Hospital and /Charitable Aid Board were not available until' 2 o'clock this afternoon. The poll is headed by Dr. (Mrs.) Pktts Mills, the Rev. Mr. Van Stavei en is second and the Rev. Mr. Elliott third. Three Labor representatives were among the successful candidates, including Mrs. Maclaren, wife of the Mayor.
