SYSTEMATIC BETTING. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 1, 12.23 a.m. Melbourne, April 30. Systematic betting on football matches is being introduced in Victoria. Circulars have been issued giving directions to persons wishing a range of three to one to those selecting two winning teams playing off their own grounds, to a hundred to one to those selecting the winners of two home and five away matches and one drawn in one afternoon. The promoter has not been disclosed, but it is understood that the scheme was launched in Sydney. Certain Melbournites have been asked to become agents.
