Reese sug- ' gested that a New Zealand team stionld visit Australia during the 1913-14 season, and outlined the following matches:— Play Auckland before leaving, then play Newcastle, Toowoomba, Queensland, Rathurst, New South Wales, Goulburn, Victoria, Ballarat or Bendigo, and against two of the South Melbourne clubs, and on the return New Zealand should play Wellington. Mr. Reese suggested a minimum guarantee of £SO from each association. He estimated the receipts at,£7oo at least, and the expenditure not to exceed £BOO. The team should consist of fourteen players, including the manager. Eventually it was decided to send a team to Australia, provided that satisfactory financial arrangements can be made. It was suggested that Auckland, Wellington, Can-' -t terbury and Otag* should guarantoe £75 .. each. Dr. Orchard gave notice of motion that Southland's request to play in the-. Plunket Shield matches be granted.
