Wright), preaching in Westminster Abbey, said that China, which had shut her doors on Christianity and martyred missionaries, appealed to Britain to turn to God in prayer for he- people. Lord William Cecil pronounced the Benediction. At ten thousand Sunday schools, with 2,244,(!0S teachers and scholars, there were prayers for ,Chjna.
