The wheat afloat for the United Kingdom is 3,485,000 quarters, for the Continent 4,040,000 quarters; Atlantic shipments 254,000 quarters; Pacific 30,000 quarters.' The total to Europe is 1,450,000 quarters; from Australasia 120,000 quarters. The market is very firm. The official quotations for Australian prompt delivery is 38s 4'/,d, on passage 38s W/.d to 395. Wool.—At the sales 50.016 bales were catalogued, and 45,735 sold. There was a large selection of merinos and Yorkshire and Continental competition was keen. Prices were unchanged. The following prices were realised for the (leecc portions of the clips named:—Tahora, top price lid, average 10!/.d; Hinemoa, lid and 10y 4 d; Tuarua, lid and lO'/'.d; Waita'ti, 12 %d and ll%d; Delta, 13d and 12% d.
