This week's changed advertisement of Calvert and Co. is taken up with three very special lines of winter blouses at very much reduced figures, it being noticed that 2s lid will buy one of these very necessary articles of a lady's attire. Mr. Lonergan, who has just commenced business in this town, has already secured a fairly wide connection, more especially so as a ladies' tailor, and to-day on page 4 he advertises ladies' costumes. An extraordinary consignment of appetisers has just come to hand at Mr. C. Carter's store from the famous delicacy firm of L. Noel and Son. of London, and to-day Mr. Carter is advertising part of the consignment, namely, the chutneys.
