TRANS-ATLANTIC FLIGHT
OERMANS PROJECT BIG JOURNEY. LAS PALMAS TO BRAZIL.' London, April 16. Preparations are proceeding at Las Palmas for the trans-Atlantic flight of the dirigible Suehard IT. It is hoped to start at the end of this month, and the objective of the,trip is Brazil, 2350 miles away. German aeronauts controlling the enterprise. -■•..' The first Suehard was an airship of the Parseval VI. type, and was owned by two German aerial enthusiasts, Mr. Joseph Brucher and Dr. H. Ganz. The craft was 195 feet long, and the greatest diameter of the cylindrical balloon was. 55 feet. The car was-a seaworthy mo'ftiv boat. 32 feet long, or 10 feet beam, and 5 1 /: feet deep, and this useful little vessel was provided with navigating and living cabins, nautical instruments, and all the paraphernalia for a long cruise, together with plenty of food and drink. It is likely that Suehard 11. is on. similar lines.
