TAKATA AND PUKEIIO. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The dog trial is over, and, judging by the entries, weather and. interest shown, it should have been a huge success, both financially nnd otherwise. Our district is looking particularly well at present, there being a good show of feed for this time of the year, and consequently stock are all in good condition. Next Monday night is School CommitThe Pukeho School has been requiring enlargement and a residence for the past six months, and it is time some life was infused into the matter. Some new blood mav help tilings along. The arduous duty of milking is fast drawing to a close, and our local factory is running every other day. Members of our football team arc busy preparing for future matches. A practice is to be held on Saturday, April '2O. at half-past two in the afternoon, in Mr. Paynter's paddock, Pukeho, and T trust, that all members and intending members will roll up in good style. I notice two warnings to motorists on the Tarata zig-zag to reduce speed to four miles per hour. This is a step in the right direction, and wo hope motorists will take notice of it. The weather for the past ten days has has been perfect, and we are looking for a continuance of same.
