THE GORE FLOODS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Gore, Tuesday. A deputation of ratepayers waited upon the Gore Borough Council and urged that precautions be taken to prevent a recurrence of the recent disaster. A resolution was passed that a comprehensive report be secured on the best method of dealing with protection works, and that a competent authority be.employed to draw up the cost. The Mayor stated that probably a subsidy would be received from the Government.
