The Ministry addressed farmers, and subsequently left for Switzcrs. where the railway employees' houses were ruined by tiie flood. Tie promised to shift theni higher, and also to arant compensation. The Minister said that he thought the damage stated in the newspnpers was exaggerated at the time, hut- he do'iVer] now whether it, was much exaggerated.
