A CASE DISMISSED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, last Night. The case against William John Boon, charged with betting on the Kiccarton racecourse, was resumed. After hearing the evidence of the racecourse detectives, the statement by defendant's counsel, and evidence by the defendant the Magistrate,_ in dismissing the case, said: The case is not a very strong one. 1 would have to be satisfied as to Boon being a bookmaker, but the evidence upon that point is very weak.
