RAHOTU HALL BAZAAR.
OPENS TO-DAY. This afternoon Mr. C. A. Wilkinson, M.P. for Egmont, will open the grand bazaar, which is to be held at Rahotu in aid of the funds of the Raliotu Public Hall. It will be remembered that as the result of a splendidly sustained and concerted effort a bazaar was held some four years ago, by which over f3OO was netted, enabling the present spacious and commodious hall to be erected. There, however, still remains a substantial debt on the hall, and various imr provements. are also contemplated, and it is with this end in view that the present bazaar is being held. For some months past the residents of the district have been working hard for the bazaar, and judging by the enthusiasm displayed, it should prove a financial success. Indeed, for the pasi few weeks it has been impossible to attend any function, or to set foot in the township at all without being waited on by numerous deputations of one or more fair enthusiasts, and asked to subscribe towards various works of art that the Bazaar Committee have in hand for disposal. The arrangements for the fair are on a large scale, the various stalls I' 0 " - ''"Plete with articles of all description* both utilitarian and ornamental, whilst fun ami amusement are promisd for all I ntil 10 p.m., to-niglit the bazaar will proceed merrilv. and it will be cont-nueil to-morrow evening and on ' <uui(|,i\ afternoon and evening.
