GOLF.
The Waverley Club opened its season last Saturday. The president (Mr. D. Coghill) stated that from present indications the season promised to be the most successful in the history of the club. The Saturday half-holidav will have the effect of confining match play to Saturday afternoons. Over thirty ladies were present. The club is fortunate in possessing first-class links, for which the owner (Mr. R. Bremer) charges no rent.
