Mr. Ketby-Eletcher, in a speech at Oford, publicly repeated the question which he had asked Mr. Lloyd George i:i the House of Commons, thus responding to Mr. Lloyd George's challenge. In the House of Commons, on April 1, Mr. J. R. Ketby-Fletcher (Unionist member for the Altrincham division of Cheshire) asked Mr. Lloyd George whether his salary was not sufficient to obviate the need for gambling on the Stock Exchange. Mr. Lbvd Georgj replied: "You'd better say that in a place where you will be subject to prosecution: then I will meet you as I have met others." An angry scene followed, Labor and other members calling Mr. Fletcher a "dirtv snob." Mr. Lloyd George '.piled out "Cad!"
