FOOTBALL.
THE ASSOCIATION GAME. There is a strong likelihood of an Association football competition being instituted this season amongst the schools in and about New Plymouth. The Central School has already two teams in sight, while it is also probable that teams will be formed at Fitzrov and Wititara schools. The New Plymouth Association Football Club is fostering the movement and to this end has provided a new ball for each team. The club is also providing a cup for competition, together with twelve silver medals for the winning team, ;
