AGGREGATION OF LAND.
I STATEMENT BY MR. MASSEY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Prime Minister stated to-day that lie had received a report from the Crown Lands Banger regarding the alleged aggregation of holdings in the Mangaweka district. Mr. Massey said that he had not yet had time to study the report thoroughly, but it showed that a certain amount of aggregation had taken place. It was equally clear, however, that this occurred before his Government took office. The report did not deal with native lands or describe the conditions in a district where there were practically no native lands. He would be in a position to make a further statement in a day or two.
