A MASTERTOX PURCHASE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Thursday. The Government lias acquired an estate of 9000 acres adjacent to Masterton for the purpose of closer settlement. The area includes the property of Mr. StonpWigg find part of .Mr. W. H. Beetham's property. A TAURAXGA PROPERTY. Wellington. Thursday. The Government has purchased five thousand acres at Ohauiti, near Tauranga, from Messrs. Kevell and Rowe. for closer settlement purposes.
