A FRIVOLOUS PROSECUTION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Hamilton, Last Night. A small boy, ten years of age, was brought before Mr. Rawson, S.M., charged with entering a dwelling and stealing one penny. After being severely cautioned by the Magistrate, the boy was discharged, His Worship remarking that it was an unfortunate thing that the matter had been brought under the notice of the police, as, had the boy's father been notified in the first place,"the bov would probably have been chastised anil would thus have received sufficient correction.
NEW MEAT-FREEZING WORKS. Napier, Last Night. The Hawke's Bay Farmers' Meat Company, recently floated, has purchased a site for freezing works iit Whakatu, between Napier and Hastings. Plans are in preparation, and it is intended to push on the erection of buildings without delay.
