In another column the Xew Plymouth Operatic Society notify their first practice for this season on next Monday, April 7th. Mr. Renaud and Mr. UiilJohnson have again consented to direct the work as conductor and stage manager respectively. The opera chosen, "The Country Cirl," is one which will test the mettle of those taking part, but m the hands of a society who made such a success of ••The (leisha," should prove another addition to the laurels of the Society. There arc vacancies for a few more good voices, so those desirous of joining should notify the hon. secretary, Mr. Bert McEwcn, at once.
