ABSCONDING WITNESS ARRESTED.

Thomas William McKay, a young man, was arrested on the Aorangi last night, just before tho steamer left for San Francisco, on a charge of being about to leave New Zealand while under recognisance to appear to give evidence at the trial of Sarah Skelton in Auckland on a charge of performing an illegal operation. McKay was remanded today to appear at Auckland on Tuesday.
