In the afternoon several memhers read papers on subjects appertaining to engineering. Tt was decided to urge the fioyernment to assist m securing the representation of Xew Zealand at the internal ional Conference of Engineers to lie held in London in June next, when among other subjects road construction ■uid .maintenance will he discussed.
