The Taranaki (!olf Tournament concluded yesterday in fine weather, which tempted a lfiv«e number of spectators out to Waiwakaiho. li. L. Taylor, of Wellington, proved the champion, D. At the sixth hole both pulled their tee shots. Pryde lav dead on the green with his fourth. Taylor over running the green. It looked Pryde's hole, hut 'his partner stymied him with his sixth, and the hole was. halved. All square.

The seventh hole was also halved in four, Pryde foozling his approach. All square.

At the eighth hide. Taylor drove into the rough, but got out well with his second, crossed the green with his third, lay well with the fourth and holed out in five. Pryde got awav well, hut his third was indifferent, and he took six to hole out. Taylor 1 up. For the ninth hole both got well away with long straight drives, lying almost level. Pryde with his third ran through the green, as also did Taylor, who got a bad second. Each took two on the green, the hole being halved in five. Tavlor 1 int.

The tenth hole, on the hill, tavlor used his brassey. and landed on the edge of the green. Pryde with his iron got right on. and went out in four, though Tavlor got a half stymie. All square. Both got well away for the eleventh, hut Pride's third was short. Tavlor landed well on the green in his third, and was one lip. The drive to the twelfth hole, a. short one in the rushes, saw both on the green, Prvde lying closer to tire hole. Taylor, with a magnificent putt, holed out in two. and so also did Pryde, a great performance that earned the plaudits of the audience, this being the roughest green on the course. Taylor 1 up. Prvde ondrove Taylor by about thirty vards on teeing oil' for the thirteenth, but Taylor equalised this with his second. Both approached well, reaching the green in three.
