TAU AN AKI TOURNAMENT. UPKNS 'J'O-DAY. To-day will see the opening of the new links at the \Vaiwakaino, and given line weather, the tournament shoulu prove a very enjoyable one. Play wilt start punctually at nine o'clock and players will be called upon in the order of the draw at intervals of about three minutes Competitors not ready to start when their names are called' will be placed at the bottom of the list. The time-table has been drawn up for 'buses each day, a drag leaving Ainbury's Corner at 8.13 a.m. and returning at 3,30 p.m. In addition to this the !l a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 o'clock 'buses will run each day as far as the bottom of the hill. It is the intention of the Club to provide lunch at future tournaments, but this year players are requested to make their own arrangements, as formerly, but tea for lunch will be obtainable at threepence and afternoon tea at sixpence. The committee asks us to say that it would be glad if any members who are unable to play will kindly oll'er to caddie for the visitors The following is the draw for the 30 hole medal play, the first sixteen best gross scores qualifying for the championship:

Yesterday a large number of the visiting golfers were the guests of the T'araliua Club at their Carrington Road links which arc in very fair order, considering the time of the year. The weather was delightful, and a very enjoyable day's sport eventuated. As the links are likely to be in further request liv the visitors ere they leave the district, a staff
