The police have detained two other youths, of whom one is reported to have made a statement that he fired at the Chinaman in selfdefence. A Sydney cable dated March 17 says: Chong Soon, a Chinese, was found dead near Parranmtta, with a long-handled prong lying bv his side and a bullet wound in his breast. Richard Arthur Bowerman and .lohn Maitland White have been charged on susuicion with shooting the Chinaman, and remanded.
