A STREET FRACAS.
CHARGES OF FLOGGING. By Telegraph—Press. Association. Wellington, Last Night. A Frederick street fracas on Tuesday night resulted in a Chinaman being seriously injured. It is alleged that two* men went to a Chinaman's house in the street, and a quarrel followed, in which two or Europeans, including a woman, became involved. The Chinaman, it is said, was struck on the head with a bottle, receiving about a dozen cuts on the head and face'which required medical attrition. To-day the detectives arrested Vincent Furniss, who will be charged to-morrow with' assaulting Charlie Yung-Stng in such a r way as to cause actual bodily harm.
