A BOY'S CRIME.
SENTENCE OF DEATH. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright. Received 10, 0..50 p.m. Sydney, March 10. Hugh Duncan, aged sixteen, was found guilty of the murder of John Connolly, and recommended to mercy on Recount of deficiency of intellect. He was tentenced to death. A Sydney cablegram dated November 5 says: —A tragedy has taken place at Spring Terrace, near Orange. It is stated that, a boy named Duncan, aged fifteen, shot his employer, a farmer named Connolly, (lend after family prayers in which flip murderer ps'rticiputcd. lie got a shot gun and fired through the window a- Connolly was retiring to bed. In a confession to the police Duncan said the deed was due to rough treatment and threats to return him to the State school.
