THE COXCILIATTOX COURT'S AWARD Jiy Tel<^ra])li —Press Association. Ch.istchurch, Last Night. The journalists' dispute before the Conciliation Council has not been concluded. It will he resumed to-morrow* afternoon. An agreement, has been arrived at regarding the hours, which are not to exceed Oil in a fortnight, the excess to he made up at, the end of a month. Staffing proportions have been agreed niton, and reporters' salaries have been fixed as-follows:—Seniors £.i-10s, generals' £4 los, and juniors £3, £3 ."is and £3 Ids per week, one clear day and night, from f> p.m., to he allowed off to reporters weekly, and all journalists to receive two weeks' holiday annually on full pay. The question of preference was discussed, and the representatives of the proprietors, who objected to preference in anv form, undertook to consider the question of granting what is known as the Court's clause.
