Humphreys, the engineers, have devised five pumps, each raising 40,000 gallons -25 feet from the River Lea daily. The power is derived from explosions of gas, replacing centrifugal pumps. THE NEW SOUTH WALES LOAN. London. March 10. The Financial News says that the form of the New South Wales new security is expected to be particularly attractive to the insurance companies. Tt is believed i that the underwriters will not upset the loan-, and have left a good proportion of the issue.
