A DETERMINED SUICIDE. By Telegraph.—Per Tress Association.. Christchureh, Last Night. Worrying over an examination is said to have been the cause of the suicide of William Wadham last evening. Deceased, who was employed as storeman at the Chief Post O/h'cc. was last seen alive at about 5 o'clock last evening. This morning at 10 a.m. he was found in the Post Office, dead. By his side was a revolver containing three loaded cartridges and an exploded one. From what can be ascertained, deceased shot himself in the mouth on the top storey, by the opening of the lift, and then fell three storeys to the bottom ol' the lift, cntting his head and chin in trie fall. He apparently had placed a wmall wire rope round his neck prior to the firing of the shot, as a small piece of rope was under his body when found, and the other part was attached to the top of the lift. Deceased appeared to have been in his usual health, hut had been worrying about his examination, and he had been talking rather sillily, saying that funny things were going over him, and he had also mentioned committing suicide, but his fellow employees took little notice of his remarks. At the inquest on the body of James Wall."]-, who died in the hospital after a prolonged il'ness following a fractured leg, on December 27, evidence showed that after the leg was set the bone would not knit, owing to the condition of the patient's health. On March 7 Walker.developed erysipelas and became delirious, dying on Thursday morning. A verdict in accordance with the medical evidence was returned. A FATAL FALL. '! Christchureh, Fridav. John Norrio, aged 80 year?, was killed at Kaikoura last night. He had been staying at the Commercial Hotel, sleeping in a room on the upper floor. He heard his son's voice in the street helow and opened the window, and, leaning out, lost his balance, falling to the ground. Norrie came from Balciutha. DEATH OF ME. NORMAN BEWLEY. , The unfortunate automobile accident on Thursday afternoon terminated fatally. Mr. Norman Bewley dying at theHospital yesterday morning. An inquest, over which the siting-coroner (Dr. McCleland) will preside, will be held at 10..10 o'clock this morning. The funeral of .the late Mr. Bewley will take place to'morrow afternoon at 2 o'clock.
