The Duke is a buyer of land in Canada. [The Duke owns about 1,350.000 acres of land in Sutherlandshire and elsewhere, but it is mostly of very poor quality.] AN INCEXDIARIST'S FATE. London, March 12. Morris .Louefer, a tobacconist, lias been sentenced to ten years' imprisonment for manslaughter, caused by his setting fire to his premises on January 24. Samuel Louefer was acquitted on the same charge. THE AUSTRALIA'S TRIALS. London, March 12. Tt is officially stated that the Australia's eight-hour trial was a complete success. OUSTIXG OF OPIUM.
