The vessel was SO days out from Puget Sound, and was in the vicinity of the Bight three day, ago, but the heavy fog prevailing accounted for the vessel not , making port sooner. A fairly good passage was made, the worst weather being encountered in the vieinity of the Islands. Captain Thunell is in charge of ■ the vessel, and Mr. Tl. Thicl chief officer. There are also a second ollicer and five seamen. The vessel's donkey-engine is utilised for handling the sails, dispensing with a number of inon. The Bendixsen has a cargo of close on three-quarters of a million feet of timber, about half of which is carried on deck, being piled up to a height of about ten feet, She was drawing 17.4 ft of water on arrival. The port health ollicer gave the sailei a clean bill. Discharging operations will be proceeded with as rapidly as circumstances will permit. THE RARAWA. The Rarawa brought about 80 tons of cjirtro from Onehungit yesterday morning. She sailed for Onelumga as usual last night. THE KAPITI. The Kapiti arrived from I'uponga yesterday morning with about .170 tons of coal.' She got away for Wellington last night. UNION COMPANY'S BOATS. The Ilaupiri yesterday loaded 2500 crates of cheese (for transhipment to the Arawa) and a quantity of geneial cargo and sailed at *2.30 p.m. for cllington. THE CORINNA. The Corinna is due here this morn- ( ing from southern ports with about 700 tons of general cargo. The Taviuni's amended programme has been cancelled and the vessel is now expected here from the South, via, Wellington, to-day. She leaves for the West Coast after discharging. m JI , . —- J —' I
