1 BOATING ACCIDENT. 'By Telograpli. — Per Press Association. Gisborne, Monday. , By a boating mishap on the Kaiti beach seven ladies and two men were thrown into the water. Campers on the, beach saw a row of heads sticking above the water. Securing a dingy they rescued the party, several of the ladies being greatly distressed. A GUN ACCIDENT. Timaru, Last Night. A lad aged 1 ->, named G. E. Bradford,, whose parents live at Waiapi, was getting over a gate, at Temuka on Sunday afternoon with a loaded gun, when the gun went oil' shattering his wrist and wounding his shoulder. Amputation be-1 tween the wrist and elbow was necessary. •
A TRAIN FATALITY. Gre.yinouth, Last Night. : An inquest touching the death of Frederick Best, killed at Dobson on Saturday night as the result of falling beneath a railway carriage while a train was in motion was held to-day. A verdict of accidental death was returned. LAND SLIDE. A FATAL TERMINATION. Gisborne, Last Night. Hilda Single, the little girl who was crushed in the landslide'at Kaiti yesterday died this evening. The other girls 'are progressing favourably.
