THE FORESTRY COMMISSION
SITTINGS IN DUNEDIN. Bv Telegraph.—Per Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The Forestry Commission held its first sittings in DnnoVlin to-dav. The question of the damage done by deer to plantations was discussed, and it was decided to seek information from the standpoint of farmers, foresters and sportsmen. Tn the afternoon tiie Commission visited the grounds of the Mental Hospital at Waitati and the plantations of the County Council. To-morrow; the Commission will hold its final sitting in Dunedin and will examine witnesses regarding afforestation.
