HIGH SCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIPS. : The High School championships, which were to have heen held to-day, have been postponed until next week. CHILDREN'S AFTERNOON. f This afternoon promise? to he a .gala day at the Baths, when the children are holding their annual sports. Mr. > Geo. Tabor, who is controlling the sports, has arranged a good programme of fourteen events, including swimrii'ift'g competitions for children 14 years and under, twelve years and under, nine years and under. Diving events, including diving • for plates, open dives and blowing balloons, have a piace on the programme,. There are separate competitions in each > class for boys and girls. No, entry fee? is charged, and winners will "be presented with medals (boys) and broodies (girls), which are now on view in Mr. .J, Bennett's. It is expected that there will b& ' keen competition, as quite a number of parents have taken the opportunity this season to have their children instructed in the useful art of swira»ii«g.
