GROSS PERJURY. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Received 7, 9.45 p.m. Sydney, March 7. An open verdict was returned at the inquest on Acheson, killed in a brawl at Leichardt. The coroner said that he was quite satisfied that gross perjury had been committed. It was a pity that people who saw the occurrence did not have the sense of duty to come forward in the interests of justice. ELECTORAL REFORM. Brussels, March 7. The socialist delegates have withdrawn their threat of a general strike. The Government lias promised to study electoral reform. ROUGH WEATHER. ' Received «S, 1.10 a.m. Sydney, March 7. A southerly gale is raging on the coast and there have been very rough seas. Shipping has experienced a trying time. The Victoria wirelessed last night that she was arriving at 0.30 tonight, but evidently she has been delayed by adverse winds.
