NEW ZEALAND BISLEY.

OAI'TALX I'UTTEII LKADINO. Til K 1.0X1.i HANIJE TEST. By Tel I'graph—l'ress Association. i Treiitliiun, hut Night. Sliootaig at Trentham was started at 8 o'clock this morning with tlu: linal stage of th,. Nelson Match (OOOvds.), the first stage, SOOyik. having ' been completed the previous afternoon. Today, as yesterday, the shooting was at times very much a fl'ccteil by the stiff, varying breeze. The light at the opening was soft, sombre clouds obscuring, the sun for a time. Later a. bright unobstructed sunshine prevailed. The baffling character of the wind during the afternoon made it difficult for many of the riflemen to get on to the bulls-eye, though in a few instances some excellent shooting was done at the 900 yds. range. Oarter, of Nelson, was the only scorer of a possible, but his shorter range score discounted his match total. He only scored 38 at 800 yds. The nearest approach to the possible for both ranges was 93, and this total secured first, second and third prizes respectively for 11. Glieeseman (Tuarnal'ina), Bruce (Now Plymouth) and McJfiirrav (Te Awamutu). Carter's possible was a remarkable piece of shooting, though he had the advantage of the soft morning light, and Maekay (Dunedin) also showed fine form. He missed with his sighter, and his first business shot, and then put on eight bulls-eyes in succession, ending up with a three. The Otago Match, 800 and 1000 yards, and a couple of long distance extra, matches filled in the afternoon. At the 800 yds. IfcCalmont (Opaki) got within one of the possible, and Batten (Auckland) 48. Forty-sevens were put up by Shannon (Wellington), Yeo (Auckland) and Drennau (Wanganui). At the 1000 yards range there were a couple of forty-sevens, Cutlibertson (Tuamarina) and Smith (Kapnnga) being top scorers at this figure. Shannon, with a match total of 93 (47-40) was the winner, with L. Lovedav (Woodville) runner-up with 91. So far as the individual service matches have been fired, Sandford | (Christchurch) is leading in the aggregate for the service championship match. The following are the leading prizewinners:—
