The 'lmprovements Committee has recommended tin; City Council to grant Earl Grey, for £3OOO per annum, the option for two years of taking the Stand Crescent site of 124.000 square feet, at an annual rental of £50,000. Sir E. Grey's idea is to induce the van- j ous Dominions to concentrate their of-1 flees. Another feature of the scheme is to provide accommodation for the commercial and social needs of the Dominions, including a permanent up-to-date exhibition of manufactured articles used in the Dominions, with the facilities for home manufacturing and the getting into touch with the Dominions' customers.
