Mr. J. I\. Tlil! lias been re-appointed the I'aranaki County Council's representative mi the Kgmont National Park Board. Messrs. C. B. Morison. K.C., 11. Avson. M. Myer,. T. M. Wilford. M.P., Professor Hasterficld and Dr. MeLiiurin arrived from the South by the express last night in connection with the Supreme Court sitting's that open to-day. Mr. A. Morton, chairman of the Xational Dairy Association, leaves for riiristclmrch this morning where he will attend a conference between representatives of the South Island Dairy Association and Shipping Companies. The chairman (Mr. J. Brown) has been appointed the Taranald County Council's representative at a meeting of delegates of local bodies to be held at Stratford to-dav to consider the question of a Tarannki court at the Auckland Exhibition. A party of four pressmen, consisting ,of Messrs. Ceo. Fenwiek (Otago Daily Times), Smith (Dunedin Star), Kerr (Timaru Herald), and W. C. Weston (Taranaki Herald), proceeded to the .Mbkau River from Te Kuiti yesterday. To-day they will journey up the river to the mines, and will come on to New Plymouth to-morrow. The death is annuonced of Mr. William Trvinc. K.C.. of Carrickmines County. Dublin, Ireland, at the age of !'0 years. He was a brother of the late Colonel Trvine. a distinguished Crimean veteran, and the late Captain Trvine, who came to New Zealand many years ago. The late Mr. Trvine was an uncle of .Mrs. 'fully, of Tnglcwood .
