PEDIGREE CATTLE SALE.
SOME GOOD PRICES. There was a goofl attendance at the 'KTHirti-grbunds yesterday; when Mr. New-, ton King held a sale of pedigree "Jersey cattle from the. well-known herds of C, Coulter (Blenheim), C. Clarke (Auckland)', A.' Brfchan'ah (Palmerston North) a'nd'.A.B..Monro' (Westown). The wea'ther was'very hot.land so was the bidding for quality stuff: On the whole the 'sale' was '.very satisfactory, prices even 'for'average (jiulity being good. Bulls, considering that, it.was not the season for them, sftl'il very well. The highest price of' the sale Was obtained for Mr. C. Clarke's magnificent G-year-old cow Leaflet, which was secured by R. J. Linn (Normanby). at 170:gns; Mr. S. Shaw wielded the. hamnier, and got through a lengthy' 'catalogue with his usual dei spatel). In addition, several Jerseys by other vendors were sold, and also some Ayrshires. and Holstcins," two 7-month bulls' of the hitter class, owned by Tichbon Bros., realising £l5O. Thirty-two animals, as catalogued, bred by Mr. ('. Coulter, of Hawkesbury, Blenheim, we're all disposed of at the following prices:
