SOUTH AFRICA.
BRITISH SOUTH AFRICA COMPANY. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 28, 9.35 p.m. London, Fehruary 2S. Sir L. S. Jameson, at a meeting of the British South Afrin. Company, stated that he did not wish to put an extra burden on the British people, but to say that the Dominions are unwilling to receive preference was arrant humbug. He did not think that the preference South Africa now granted to Great Britain would be continued, unless she obtained better treatment. The time was not ripe for Rhodesia to enter the Union. The people would not welcome absorption in the Union, which was not as essentially British as thev could desire.
