This afternoon the New Plymouth bowlers retrieved the laurels they lost yesterday by winning the big mate!- of the tour against the Auckland Club, tor . the Auckland-New Plymouth challenge cup, by 85 points to 08. At the luncheon adjournment New Plymouth had a lead of 17, but this was subsequently reduced to 7. Then fortune favored New Plymouth, and they increased the lead to 17 again. All scores were counted in the match, the totals thus being equal, 111 each.
