ENTERTAINMENTS.

THEATRE ROYAL PICTURES. A brilliant selection of pictured gems was unreeled at the. Theatre Royal to a good audience last evening. The star item was a thrilling and sensational dramatic portrayal, "Wheels of Destruction." The story is:—Helene Durand betrothed to Albert Dubailey is one day rescued from an accident by Ribos, a young motorist. He gets injured, and is taken home by Helene, who takes care of him. Ribos is to enter into a great motor race, and is telling l Helene all about it when Albert appears. He takes the other for a rival and determines on revenge. Late that night he enters the motor shed and tampers with Ribos' steering wheel. The day of the race comes, and after going a* short distance Ribos' motor turns and crashes on a steep bank, and he is taken by the ambulance car to the tent. Albert follows with a guilty look, and at this moment is confronted by the. ambulance man with the broken steering wheel. He pleads for Ribos' forgiveness, who can afford to give it, for he has won Helene's love, besides the, race. The supporting pictures are equally fine, particularly the Edison film. "Those' Endearing Charms" and the powerful Vitagraph industrial drama, "A Reformed Santa Clans." The orchestra are also deserving pf a word of praise, their numbers have been increased by a double bass and last night's musical programme was a real treat.
