FORESTRY COMMISSION.
SAWMILLERS UP IX ARMS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Taihape. Friday. The sawmillers in the district are makingl common cause with sawmillers in both Islands in a vigorous protest against the non-inehision of a representative of the industry on the Afforestation Commission. They advocate Messrs. Morris, of Greymouth, and Ellis, of Hamilton, as practical representatives. They are pressing their claims strenuously, chiefly on a'vount of the reference to white pine in clause 4 of the schedule. Tt is considered imperative that the industry should be represented.
