BURGLARY.
A BAREFACED ROBBERY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, February 19. Mr. R. McCaulneld's house in Mill road, Paeroa, was entered by some person last night, and £l2 in notes stolen from under a mattress on McCauMdd'a bed. McCaulfield left the house at 8.30; all the doors were then locked and the lights out. On returning aliout an hour later he found all the doors open and a big light binning m the kitchen. The bedroom was disarranged, and the blankets were found under n water-tap outside the house. Papers were scattered about the room, but the money was missing.
